Who I am

Leigh Bowers t/a LMB Photo

My website address is: https://lmbphoto.co.uk/

What is classed as personal data?

Personal data in a broad sense is any information that could be used to identify you (such as your name, date of birth, email address, IP address, etc). Often, a single piece of information isn’t enough to identify you but using multiple pieces of personal information could be used to identify you directly.

What personal data I collect and why

I try and limit any personal data I collect to a minimum and aim to only keep this information as long as I feel is necessary. There are some instances where I am legally obliged to keep your information for a determined period of time (for invoices as an example).

Examples of personal informationI typically collect when I do work for you:

  • Name
  • Company or place of business (if applicable)
  • Addresses (location for the work to be carried out or address for invoicing)
  • Telephone number (if you request us to call you)
  • Email addresses (if you request us to email you)

Examples of personal information I collect when you use my website:

  • Name (via contact form)
  • Email address (via contact form)
  • Contact number (via contact form)
  • Any information you disclose in the form

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive. I use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

Analytics

I collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit my website (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of my website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

How long do I retain your data?

If you leave a comment on my site, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

I keep any email correspondence for 24 months by default (including contact form entries), and any invoices/information relating to invoices for at least six years.

What rights do you have over your data?

You can request that I erase any personal data I hold about you at any time. This does not include any data that I am legally required to keep for legal or security purposes.

Additional information

I do link to other websites from my own website (such as Facebook, etc). I cannot vouch for the privacy practices of these third-party companies and urge you to read their privacy policy to understand how they handle your personal data.

I will periodically update my privacy policy as necessary to make sure I keep you informed of any changes within the business that might impact you.
